Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a service funded by the NDIS aimed at helping you manage daily activities at home, allowing you to live autonomously while developing your skills. We offer these services either in your own residence or through our various accommodation options located in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs.
Located in Clyde, we extend our services beyond the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne to include the Casey, Cardinia, Frankston, Mornington Peninsula, Bass Coast, South Gippsland, Wellington, East Gippsland, Baw Baw, Yarra Ranges, and Latrobe City Shires.
Rest assured, our support is available around the clock, 24/7. Our comprehensive approach ensures that we cater to your individual needs by employing a variety of methods grounded in evidence-based practices.
SUPPORTED INDEPENDENT LIVING (SIL)
At Senate Disability and Nursing Care, we recognize that achieving a fulfilling and independent life is crucial for happiness and overall well-being. For individuals with disabilities, support is often necessary to reach this goal. Our mission is to empower NDIS Participants by equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to live as independently as possible. We offer our services either in the comfort of the Participant’s home or at one of our accommodation facilities located in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs.
Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services encompass:
– Help with personal care tasks, including showering, grooming, toileting, and morning routines
– Assistance with mobility, such as getting in and out of bed
– Support with eating and drinking
– Accompaniment to appointments, including medical visits
– Medication management to ensure adherence to prescriptions
– Aid with household chores, like laundry and grocery shopping
– Guidance for independent use of public transport
– Opportunities to engage in group activities with housemates
– Organization of social events that match your interests – Support for skill-building activities
– Help in establishing and maintaining a healthy sleep routine.
OUR SIL ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
At Senate Disability and Nursing Care, we are committed to ensuring that everyone has a place they can call home—one that provides safety, security, and the freedom to pursue their passions. To achieve this, we offer supported independent living (SIL) options with round-the-clock assistance, situated in the outer South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Our properties come equipped with a variety of amenities, including spacious living areas, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Each home boasts a large kitchen ideal for meal preparation, as well as a patio or courtyard for enjoying the outdoors. Additionally, all residences are conveniently located near parks, cafes, and shopping centers.
