What kinds of support services for social and community participation are funded by the NDIS?

The funding offered by NDIS is designed to help participants reach their goals related to community, social, or recreational engagement. These activities can occur in a center or within the broader community. Support may encompass assistance with transportation to the activity and help during the event itself.

Additionally, the NDIS may provide funding for enhanced social and community participation, which includes capacity building supports. This involves activities aimed at developing skills and fostering independence. Examples of such activities include art classes, sports coaching, and tuition fees.
